Features

Totally new GUI, really Ajax oriented, no more HTML frame, no more page reloading.
Backward compatibility for all file actions (cf previous releases) : copy/move, rename, delete (recursive), create dir/file, download…
Online files edition and syntax highlighting (see prev. releases)
[new] InfoPanel : gives more info on the file, especially images files. Images preview
[new] Search Engine : search for a string in the filenames, in the current directory and sub directories.
[new] Play mp3 online without downloading them
[new] View images online as a diaporama inside a given folder.
[new] Better multiple file upload monitoring : when you upload many files, they are sent one by one so you can better follow the upload.
[new] Start screen and load progress : the script is quite heavy to load at first time, there is progress bar for dynamic library loading and GUI initialization.

Tests & Known Bugs

AjaXplorer has been tested on FireFox2 on windows and mac, on IE6 and IE7 on windows. It is best displayed on FF but is working quite good too on IE. Some minor bugs to fix though.
AjaXplorer does not need any database, only PHP to run. It has been tested on PHP4.3 and PHP5.
There is a strong display bug with bookmarks bar : when there are too many bookmark, the layout below the bar is totally messed up. I will try to fix that as soon as possible.
Bug with”&” character in folder names : it mess up a lot of things to use “&” characters in files or folders. I will work on this (normalization of XML data…)
